Q. Does this router replace my modem?A. No, the NETGEAR R6250 DD-WRT router is not a replacement modem, it is a router only, It has NO built in modem. It requires connecting to your ISP modem/router combo as pictured above and in our instruction leaflet included with the router.
Q. Can you program the router with all the necessary files for my VPN provider?A. We can Program all necessary Config's, Certificates & fully test the router for you if you provide your VPN credentials. It will then work straight out of the box.
Q. What do you need from me after i purchase the router?A. You can provide your VPN credentials during payment in PayPal notes (PLEASE remember to press SAVE) or via Contact us after your purchase, please provide the following:- VPN Providers Name, Username, password & which server you prefer.If NO details are provided during or after your purchase, we will dispatch the router without the VPN section being configured and you will need to configure these details yourself! So it's important you don't forget to get these details to us if you want us to configure the VPN client section!
Q. What do you need from me if i buy this router including a VPN package from the drop down menu above?A. We will set the VPN up for you using your payment email address and a strong password, the password can be changed (On-line with the VPN company and in the router), but the user name (email address can not), should you require your VPN account registering to another email address please let us know when purchasing in PayPal Notes (PLEASE remember to press SAVE) or via Contact Us .
Q. What if i am concerned about giving you my VPN credentials?A. We recommend in this case you change the VPN password once you've received and tested the Router.

Q. What's a VPN Kill-Switch?A. A VPN Kill-Switch is a critical piece of your VPN security solution which we program into our routers, this feature will ensure that your true IP address is never exposed on-line in the event your VPN should ever fail. Q. Why is a VPN slower than my normal line speed?A. Any VPN service will always give you a small loss in speed, this is due to the hardware having to encrypt every packet of data sent and received as well as adding a little latency.
